How to Play

Play Donald Duck in Treasure Frenzy online for free. Treasure Frenzy is a treasure hunting diving game where you help Donald Duck find Disney coins. Collect coins, upgrade your dive suit, and unlock new levels. Avoid the dangerous fish on the way down and hit everything in sight when on frenzy mode on the way up. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Click the large yellow square button with the white triangle on it in the game’s welcome screen to start the game.
- If it is your first time playing the game only the first diving map will be open.
- If you have played the game in the past your local web browser automatically stores your saved treasure, upgraded diving suit, and unlocked maps.
- The welcome screen contains 3 other buttons. The sound control button is in the upper right corner. The question mark button scrolls through how to play information & the trophy cup is for top scores, though that feature has been disabled.
- Game Controls
  - Desktop
    - Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move Donald Duck on the way down.
      - If you stand on a platform he will not move.
      - By default he descends slowly unless you click the up arrow key.
      - In Frenzy Mode on the way back up he automatically moves up on his own, but you control his left and right movement.
      - Mobile
        Use your finger to control Donald Duck’s movements.
        The game has pause and sound control buttons in the upper right corner, shows your level dive progress in the right side, your oxygen meter in the left side, your coins in the upper left corner & your score in the lower right corner.
        Game Play
        The goal of this game is to collect treasure by diving deep.
        Your oxygen level is constantly falling even if you do nothing.
        When you get hit by a fish your oxygen level falls faster.
        When you get down to zero oxygen Donald Duck makes a mad rush for the surface. You can collect many coins on the way up and do not have to worry about running into enemies or platforms. When you are in Frenzy Mode you actually want to hit fish and platforms to score more points.
        Levels
        This game has 3 levels.
        Plunge Pool, the first level, is 100 meters deep. At the bottom of the playing field there are 3 treasure chests. The 2 smaller ones on the side contain coins and the one in the center contains the map to unlock the second level. Be sure to get the key on your way down to be able to unlock the center treasure chest.
        Marina Del Monies, the second level, is 150 meters deep.
        Iceberg Ocean, the third level, is 200 meters deep. When you get to the bottom of the third map it is best to get the side treasure chests first as when you open the center one you might activate frenzy mode or similar.
        Upgrades
        You start off with a bronze dive suit which can be upgraded multiple times over. Each suit has more oxygen.
        Silver costs 100 & doubles your air
        Gold costs 300 & triples your air
        Red Ranger costs 1,000 & quadruples your air.
        After you have the Red Ranger outfit you are fully upgraded.
        Game Strategy
        Scoring
        Each coin is worth 10 points.
        Each platform or fish you hit on the way up while in Frenzy Mode is worth 50 points.
        The hit detection on this game is quite generous with coin collecting & enemies can move quickly, so try to aim for a best path with low probability of getting hit rather than trying to perfectly run over every coin.
        Fight scenes
        Whenever you hit a fish you are temporarily invincible & ascend slightly.
        Some fish don’t just hit you, but instead engage in a fight. If you get in a fight scene rapidly tap any arrow key or the space bar to end it.
        If you fight a bulldog fish, shark or tiger shark you do not get any points for winning that fight.
        It uses up your precious oxygen and you get nothing out of it.
        Worse yet, the fish you fought often dives a bit deeper (so you may run into them again) while you move upward (so you have further to swim to get to the bottom). And in some cases your reaction to that fight will throw you into another fish where you get hit once again.
        The optimal game strategy depends on if you are trying to go for the highest score you can get, unlock the next level, or if you are trying to collect as many points as you can to upgrade Donald Duck’s diving suit.
        If you are trying to get as many coins as possible try to go through the parts of the level that are rich in coins on the way down & try to follow the coin trail up on the way out in frenzy mode. This means many close calls with fish and perhaps a number of battle scenes.
        If you are trying to get the highest possible score you should collect as many coins on the way down as you can while still making it to the bottom & then on the way up try to hit as many fish and platforms as you can while following the coin trail. To get your absolute maximum high score sometimes you will have to travel down dead ends, go back, and then get to the bottom. When opening treasure chests at the bottom you should open the side chests first.
        If you are simply trying to unlock subsequent levels then it can be beneficial to try to mostly hide out near the edges of the screen and ignore the coins beyond those which are easy to get. Make sure you get the key on the way down.
        If the screen is not keeping up with you and you are moving down quickly it can be beneficial to stand on a platform, though make sure you do not run into any spikes!
        Target Audience
        This game is fun for Donald Duck fans of all ages.
        There are no adult themes in the game.
