How to Play

Play Super Pix online for free. Super Pix is a challenging 5-stage retro-themed platformer game. Collect all the fruit and reach the trophy at the end of the level. Survive various hazards and oddly familiar enemies. After beating all the stages take on a rhino in the boss battle. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select New Game to begin a new save.
Select Continue to pick up where you last left off.
Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your keyboard:
    - Use the left and right arrow keys to move.
    - Use the space bar to jump. After collecting shoes you can double jump.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - With your fingers:
        Tap on the left and right arrow buttons on the bottom left corner to move.
        Tap on the up arrow button on the bottom right corner to jump.
        Game Play
        Level selection
        Levels are unlocked in sequence. Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
        You can replay any of the levels you’ve unlocked.
        Each of the levels has their own type of fruit to collect.
        Keep track of them using the trophy button on the top right corner of the level selection screen.
        Interface
        On the top left are your remaining lives.
        On the top center are the following:
        The total number of coins you collected
        The speaker and music buttons
        On the top right are the number of fruits you collected throughout the level.
        Basic rules
        Reach the end of the level without dying.
        Stomp on or get past enemies.
        Pick up all the fruits and as many coins as you can.
        You will often need to backtrack to collect all the fruits as needed items are scattered throughout the game offering the ability to see invisible blocks, double jump, swim & climb walls.
        The shoes which enable double jump are in level 3
        The ability to breathe under water is unlocked in level 4.
        The gloves needed to grab on walls for climbing is unlocked in level 5.
        Fruit you already collected in prior plays is outlined in a lighter tone than the fruit you have yet to collect.
        Some of the fruit is hidden behind walls.
        Jump onto the champion cup to clear each level.
        Level features and gems
        Check points
        Checkpoints appear as flagpoles.
        When you pass by a checkpoint, it saves your level progress.
        Each time you die, you respawn at the checkpoint instead of at the beginning.
        Crates
        Crates contain coins.
        To bust them open, simply jump below them.
        Often, crates double as platforms.
        Gems
        Gems unlock translucent platforms and other abilities like walking underwater.
        Often, you can’t collect all the fruit in a level until you pick up one gem in another level.
        Water
        At first, water acts as a hazard.
        After collecting the requisite gem, you can go beneath it.
        Lives, enemies and hazards
        Lives
        You start the game with 3 lives, represented by hearts.
        If you lose all your hearts, it’s game over.
        While you 1 heart at a time when encountering enemies, you lose all your lives at once if you fall off a pit.
        Enemies
        Enemies will actively seek you out whenever they appear.
        Your only way of dealing with them is by stomping.
        You can also sometimes deal with enemies by sliding some foes, like the spiked shell, onto them.
        Hazards
        Hazards include water, spikes, and pits.
        Water and pits function similarly. Fall into them and you instantly die.
        Spikes work more like enemies. touch them and you lose 1 life.
        Boss battle
        After playing through 5 levels you battle a rhinoceros.
        Dodge his attacks & then after he bumps into a wall you jump on him.
        Each time you hit him it releases a fruit.
        Three attacks and you have beat him.
        Scoring
        Your score is measured by the coins you’ve collected.
        You get to keep the coins you’ve collected even after you fail a level. The coins respawn, allowing you to pick them up all over again.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like retro platforming games.
        When you die there is a bit of pixelated blood in the game, but it does not look gory.
        The game has no adult themed content.
